A local, non-commercial fan prototype. Not affiliated with Nintendo, Game Freak, The Pokémon Company, or Spike Chunsoft.
Authentic animation sheets, metadata and portraits for all 151 original Gen 1 species were downloaded from PMDCollab / SpriteCollab. Original and contributor attributions are retained in each species’ credit files. The original sheet PNGs and XML are preserved unchanged; frame slicing, nearest-neighbor scaling and animation timing happen at runtime.
Repository material is supplied under Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial 4.0 International. Full local license text. Original credit records: Pikachu sprites, Charmander sprites, Pikachu portraits, Charmander portraits. Pokémon and Pokémon character names belong to Nintendo, Creatures, Game Freak and The Pokémon Company; original Mystery Dungeon artwork is credited to Chunsoft.
Silverwood Meadow, the four additional terrain backgrounds, the forest camp and the interface concept were created for this prototype with OpenAI ImageGen. The empty background is a local static asset; every Pokémon is an authentic SpriteCollab animation. Battle effects, damage text, the interface Poké Ball icon and optional synthesized sound cues are implemented specifically for this project.
Phaser 3 (MIT), Vite (MIT), and Playwright (Apache-2.0, development verification only). Gameplay has no remote asset, API or font dependency.
Animation presentation inspired by Pokémon Battlegrounds. No footage, audio or custom battle animations were copied from that channel.
Cached PokeAPI data with Ultra Sun / Ultra Moon learning and Generation VII rules. Capture formula, Potion and Super Potion. Evolution chains and their ordinary Kanto form requirements also use cached PokeAPI data. Friendship uses the Generation VII threshold of 220. XP, item prices, real-time cooldowns, recovery, manual evolution confirmation, camp trade-and-return and subdued captures are custom demo rules.
Potion, Super Potion and evolution item pixel sprites are preserved unchanged from PokeAPI/sprites. Original item art belongs to Nintendo, Creatures, Game Freak and The Pokémon Company. The gold pixel coin SVG was created for this demo.
Local type SVG recreations by partywhale, MIT (license). Physical, Special and Status game icons from Pokémon Showdown; original art belongs to Nintendo / Game Freak / The Pokémon Company. Stat/control SVG glyphs and level-up effects were created for this demo.
Six regional atlases with twelve battle arenas and twelve matching capture scenes were created with OpenAI ImageGen for this expansion. The cave, coast, haunted town/manor, dark forest, ice and volcanic textures are original local assets. No Pokémon artwork was generated.
Five stage-specific capture scenes were created with OpenAI ImageGen from the existing forest backgrounds, using a lower scenic camera angle.
